Aaron Perlut

A founding partner of Elasticity, Aaron believes creative thinking should be the cornerstone of public relations strategy and not just the domain of advertisers.

Formerly a vice president with Fleishman-Hillard who also has led corporate communications initiatives for two of the nation’s largest energy companies – Entergy and Progress Energy — he spends his days developing reputation management and marketing communications strategies that straddle both social and traditional media realms, and has worked with companies and brands including Anheuser-Busch InBev, UPS, Capital One, Unilever, Charter Communications, Enterprise Rent-A-Car, Papa John’s, and the United Karate Kid Haircut Association.

While Aaron was an early adopter in social media — creating online communities and working closely with bloggers before they became mainstream — he began his career as a television producer and maintains his connection to journalism by writing on marketing and public relations for Forbes, as well as contributing to HuffingtonPostAOL, JoeSportsFan, and the American Mustache Institute.

A married father of two boys and graduate of Virginia Commonwealth University (Go Rams!), when not offering mildly offbeat philosophies, he weeps for his beloved Chicago Cubs, chats incessantly about mustaches, eats unhealthy quantities of bacon, and pursues passions for the Muppets and Mr. T.
